This year has started off with such interesting changes, amazing opportunities, gives and takes, and just overall fast-paced decision making and life changing opportunities that I thought I’d take a moment to pause and have a word with my inner self. Let me share what I told her.
(SONG Faith Evans – Give it to me)
See I can’t give up on the way you give it to me
Give it to me
No I can’t give up on the way that you give me your love
I’ve been wondering how you can make it better
For me to give you all of my love
And open up the door to my heart baby baby
But I don’t understand the way you’re thinking
Can’t help the way that you feel down inside
The love I feel for you I can’t hide See I feel like this is a year of starting things off right by thanking and loving myself because the more opportunities you get, the more great ppl come into your life and the more elements just seam to flow in your life chances are the more love you’ve given to yourself. Chances are if you haven’t been giving your inner self that love it deserves, the less you’ve been attracting those things to you. But don’t just say it, feel it, be it and enjoy the meaning of it. Now I’m wondering what I can do to make it even better like Faith Evans said and watch those steps take momentum. These last couple years I’ve had amazing coaches and leaders in different areas inspire me and that will definitely continue but I know that if I didn’t think I deserved it just even a little I wouldn’t be here today. So take the time every day to say to yourself I love you unconditionally and watch what comes to you. And as we approach this month of heightened awareness of love make it count every day. Put aside the big hooplah and marketing madness that is Valentine’s Day and with every heart you see in a card, or piece of heart-shaped chocolate that says I love you – make it mean something for yourself each time. The reality is, as you probably already know, we are always moving toward or away from love as Marianne Williamson often says. Your actions display that all the time, so as much as we celebrate that one day in February and put all our energies into showing it, we’re actually expressing love already all the time. So how about instead of concentrating on romantic love, or lack of in the idea of loneliness, let’s bring the love to ourselves, embrace ourselves and all the love within. Then you’ll see the external expressions of love manifest naturally.
In the meantime, make sure to take your innerchild out to play.
